Why does Obi-Wan call Vader “Darth” when he says “You’re only a master of evil Darth”? I realize that was probably his first name at that time before Darth become a Sith title. But doesn’t really fit in with other movies as no-one is referred to as just Darth.
I think initially it was probably just the fact the Galaxy knew him as Darth Vader, I’m not sure if George had any specific ideas for it to be a Sith title at the time. Realistically you could now say that perhaps Obi-Wan called him that as a way of saying Sith, pointing out the fact he was a Sith, and no longer a Jedi for a long time gone. Just a possible explanation to why Obi-Wan might call him Darth specifically, there might be an official answer somewhere to this but I wouldn’t know it.
